About this tool
Cheques, invoices and legal documents ask you to write the amount in words as well as figures, which protects against mistakes and tampering. This tool does it instantly and correctly, including the cents or paisa part.
The cheque-style line uses the common format, for example ONE THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND 50/100 DOLLARS ONLY. Numbers are written without the word "and" inside the whole number, so the "and" before the cents is clear. Your bank may prefer its own wording, so follow its instructions.
The South Asian option writes 150,000 as one lakh fifty thousand and 25,000,000 as two crore fifty lakh, which is how amounts are read in Pakistan and India. All of this is worked out in your browser.
