About this tool

Passport and visa photos must be a specific size, with the head at a certain height in the frame. A photo studio charges for this, but a plain photo from your phone can be cropped to the right shape at home.

The tool crops to the proportions of the size you choose and saves the photo at 300 dots per inch. It also fills a 6 x 4 inch sheet with copies, which you can print at any photo shop or at home on photo paper. Print at 100% size, without the "fit to page" option.

Be honest about what it does not do: it does not detect your face, remove the background or check official rules. Use a plain light wall, even light with no shadows, a neutral expression and no glasses glare. Requirements change, so confirm them with the passport office or embassy before you print many copies.
